Tang Yau Hoong – The Art of Negative Space

You are probably already familiar with the works of Malaysian artist, illustrator and graphic designer Tang Yau Hoong, currently based in Kuala Lumpur.

Among his various projects, one of our favorites is The Art of Negative Space series, “an attempt to tell a story through art and space”, using a “mesmerizing and powerful” art form, as the artist himself describes it.

His conceptual, surreal and also fun approach reveals in a simplistic yet creative and unique way different aspects of life, sometimes even going beyond reality to fantastic worlds, where only a rich and fine imagination can guide. To decipher the message, you need to travel with the mind, so enjoy your journey in an outstandingly shaped space.
