Ana Bănică live drawing performance | NAG #9

It was a very interesting experience to witness the live drawing performance “A.B.” by Romanian artist Ana Bănică, curator Ioana Ciocan, part of NAG #9. From 7 pm to midnight, the artist created several hundred small drawings exploring various aspects defining the relationship between man and woman, highlighting stereotypes of modern society, as well as more profound emotions, thoughts and struggles regarding this complex subject.

The result is an inspiring mixture of “being madly in love, absurd games, sadness, fears, abandonment, obsessions, being cast aside, haziness and the obsession with being in love”.
