Vadim Ciocazan – a passion for technology and science

Vadim Ciocazan is fascinated by technology, biology, science, and any natural or artificial phenomenon that produces light, sound, smoke, explosions and movement.

“Although I chose visual arts, my passion for everything related to science survived since my childhood, when I spent my time dreaming of other planets and far away galaxies, experimenting with toys, trying to understand how they work and with an anxious attraction for all that used electricity, including plugs. However, I could not follow this path, as I was bumping upon mathematics, required at each step in science, and I believed and still believe it to be an impossible field. I prefer the visionary part of science, and drawing helped me dream and create the imaginary world I want.

My illustrations are a combination between my fascination for the SF world and the pleasure of drawing. I like most to illustrate starting from the structure of letters, typography being prevalent in my visual experiments. Recently, I have a passion for strange buildings and steam-punk / diesel -punk style. I like to experiment with different styles and techniques constantly, trying to learn as much as possible”.
