AUTO FIRE by Paweł Fabjański

With his AUTO FIRE cycle, Warsaw-based visual artist Paweł Fabjański, an acknowledged advertising and fashion photographer, explores human psychology at the symbolic age of 30.

The series is an introspective exercise, a reading of his own emotions at that certain stage in life. Reconstructing life episodes and presenting them in a filmographic scenography, the artist reveals the insecurity, the lack of power and need of physical and psychical support, of extensions attached to the body and mind.

Each photograph offers the viewer the feeling of being present in the constructed time and space. The weakness of the characters, their lack rather than their fulfillment, the tension and incapability to take action, gives a sense of reality and prelude of an imminent life event.
