Mihaela Paraschivu – Fear as recurring memory
The works of Romanian artist Mihaela Paraschivu are self-referential and revolve around themes of fear, home, family.
In this introspective process, the image of the artist confronts that of the non-artistic common self, nourishing an inner conflict usually governed by fear, which is often related to images of childhood, in a permanent search to answer the essential question: “Who am I?”.
The works are emotional and sincere, and like an open journal, they take us into a journey to discover the mind and soul of an artist who never seizes to ask some of the most profound questions of life.
