Recent works by ETNIK

The works of ETNIK, currently based in Italy, explore what the artist refers to as “Prospective Cities”, a project he has been focusing on in the past decade, mixing lettering, architecture and illustration in the same piece.

His 3D image of a geometric and vivid city often floating among other geometric forms, hidden characters and rich colours, sometimes reminds us of our captivity inside the urban landscape and suggests the precarious stability of humans.

As an artist, ETNIK started his career painting graffiti over 20 years ago and has been always interested in the innovative graffiti scenes across Europe and America. Although currently working between Pisa and Florence, he has recently traveled to Germany and France, where he painted a series of murals, bringing to life his fascinating architectural illusions. His dynamic, almost explosive elements, violently clash in his works, which unexpectedly also reveal a geometric equilibrium, showing a natural perspective which is not a reflection of nature, but of its attacker.
