The inspiring works of Dasic Fernández
The works of Chilean artist Dasic Fernández, currently based in New York, offer a vibrant and varied visual experience.
His large scale outdoor murals are distinctive through the bright colours and patterns. His grey characters usually have their faces covered with bandanas, where the texture represents the blue sky and sunrise, perhaps as symbols of hope and the fight for a better world. This can also suggest the idea of revolution or the image of the self as a mirror of the sky and universe.
Whatever the interpretation, the works invite us to explore a world where big dreams can be achieved and help us escape our daily routine, to simply see, feel and imagine.
