Here are the highlights from the 2013 edition:

The 2013 Anim’est Trophy was presented to Špela Čadež for his Boles animation, a story about a man living in a poor neighbourhood, dreaming to become a famous writer. One day, his neighbour Tereza, an older prostitute that Filip tries to avoid by all means, asks him to write a letter for her fiancé. And this is where it all begins.

You are probably familiar with a previous animation, Lovesick.

Another winner, for the Best Short Film Award, was the film Lettres de femmes by Augusto Zanovello, about how love letters have the power to heal the wounds of soldiers on the battle fields of the First World War.
