Animation Marathon 7

Time for another Animation Marathon with a special selection of animated short films.

We’re starting with ‘The Blissful Accidental Death’, the upcoming Romanian animation, produced by Abis Studio, directed by Sergiu Negulici, and written by Sergiu Negulici, Ioana Nicoară, Manuela Marcovici – more info.

“Entering an antique shop, a young man finds an intriguing drawing which is hiding a secret love letter on the back, written 70 years ago. After finding out that the author of the drawing is still alive, 105 years old, and persuasive in finding out if the story is real, the man goes on an unusual journey to meet her, the painter who befriended many important Romanian artists at the beginning of the 20th century.”

‘Il Gioco del Silenzio’ by Virginia Mori, music: Francesco Colocci and Lorenzo Colocci.

‘Symphony no. 42’ by Réka Bucsi. The short film “presents 47 observations in the irrational connections between human and nature.”

‘Marius’ by Pierre-Julien Fieux, sound design: Igor Comes.

“Marius’ life comes down to the bottle and to the struggle. He drowns out his day in alcohol, falls, gets up, falls again; a continual fight against this companion that he cannot get rid of.”

‘All at Sea’, short film written, directed, produced and animated by Uncle Ginger, the animation studio of Owen Gent & Hugh Cowling.
