The fine art photography of Oleg Oprisco

For Ukraine based fine art photographer Oleg Oprisco, real life is the best source of inspiration.

What is truly fascinating about his work is not only that he uses a medium format film and shoots for 12 frames (with Kiev 6C and Kiev 88 cameras), so each frame is very important and carefully prepared, but that there is no digital manipulation. Colour correction and retouching of dust are enough for an amazing result. Also, he tries to do everything by himself, including the props.

We like that he finds simple solutions to represent complex concepts, emotions and an often surreal version of reality. And the photographs really seem to work together as a statement of freedom and beauty, as a proof of unlimited imagination and the power to create memorable stories.
