Anca Mitroi Photography

In a perpetual act of improvisation to bring reality closer to the dreamy images that define her work, Romanian photographer Anca Mitroi reveals, with each frame, tenebrous and sometimes erotic elements, inspired from music, people, anxieties and dreams. Music is the most important source of inspiration, that is why most of her works are named after the songs she listened to while working.

She focuses mainly on portrait, and this is because, according to Anca, it offers the flexibility she needs to communicate her ideas and feelings and to capture the interesting beauty that she seeks in people.

With seven years of experience so far, she describes herself as a reflection of all her works, and we find them very challenging, with their dark approach and thoughtful juxtapositions.
