Aleah Michele: Wall Art

Aleah Michele perceives photography as another form of painting, the “painting of light”. Once she embraced this medium, she has focused mostly on fine art portrait and conceptual photography.

She usually feels more comfortable outdoors, attracted to the beauty and mystery of the forest: “It becomes a neutral space full of possibility. Anything can happen there. It is far away from the deafening sanity that humanity has built around us”. However, the current series, entitled ‘Wall Art’, reveals a new and powerful vision of Aleah Michele, where the wall becomes a gateway towards another reality, that seems filled with meaning and leading towards inner experiences and profound questions of what we feel and think when we are alone or together.

The elements of the forest are still present in the artworks through the branch, the floral patterns, the bird, while the human gestures, the expressiveness of the hands, of the face, all add emotion to the series.
